Snow in Sammamish

In the span of about 30 minutes the Redmond area went from clear bare roads to 4" of snow and a total parking lot. People in Seattle were stuck on the roads for 7-8 hours trying to get home from their commutes. As soon as I saw the snow sticking I left work and picked up Gracie from dance and made it home where there was no snow (only 3 miles away from Redmond). About 1 hour later we had 4" of snow on the ground outside our house and we had to delay bedtime and suit up for a quick play in the snow.

School was cancelled today and the kids spent the day playing in the snow and bugging Britney :-).

Thanksgiving in Seattle

We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving here in Seattle with the family. My parents always host the meal and it was nice to be around family. My cousin Amanda and her husband Graeme joined us and are always fun to have around.

Jack was missing for a few minutes and we later found him enjoying his latest hobby, emptying a role of TP into the toliet and trying to flush it down. We caught this load before he could try to flush it.

We hit the Holiday Parade the day after Thanksgiving followed by some shopping and games at Gameworks. The kids had a blast and we were worn out from the day.

Trip to Atlanta to see Grandma and Grandpa Thorpe

We are in Atlanta for a week with Britney's family and the kids are having a blast. The flight was very easy with some help from modern technology and some soda pop. We went to the Atlanta Aquarium, which just opened, and it was awesome. The kids had a blast and the aquarium is very well done. The very large fish above is a whale shark, the little devil like creature is Jack :-).

Halloween 2006

A dinosaur, spiderman and a cheerleader, that pretty much sums up our halloween. The kids made a haul on candy and we endured some sub freezing temperatures (notice the layers on the cheer outfit.)

Picking Pumpkins

I am trying to be slightly less of a blog slacker. We took the kids down the hill to the Serres Farm for some pumpkin picking, the weather was perfect and the kids had fun. These photos were actually taken around 10/15....late post.
